About Jono

Jono Coleman

Jonathan "Jono" Coleman is one of Australia's most loved radio and television personalities... and the long running host of My Generation™, which for the past two years has been named Best Syndicated Program at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards.

Although born in London, Jono was raised in Sydney and after working as a junior for several major advertising agencies, he was given his first radio job in 1979, as a copywriter/producer for the-then 2WS in Sydney.

It wasn't long before Jono kick-started his television career as a reporter on the children's show Simon Townsend's Wonder World, as well as some regular TV appearances with Ian "Dano" Rogerson on shows including Saturday Morning Live.

After five years with Wonder World, Jono and Dano launched their own radio show, before soon being offered their very own TV show - Late Night With Jono And Dano on the Seven Network.

In the early 90s, Jono relocated to London where he continued his "larger-than-life" TV and radio work, including stints at great London radio stations like Virgin, Heart 106.2 and BBC London 94.9. His breakfast show on Heart 106.2 was the Number One most listened to show in London.

At the end of 2006, Jono left the UK with his wife and two children, bound for Australia once again. Now happily living in Sydney, Jono is as busy as ever! As well as hosting My Generation™, Jono also hosts the popular daily variety radio programme The Jonathan Coleman Experience with co-host Julia Zemiro. He's also the movie reviewer for the Seven Network's Sunrise program as well as the Australian correspondent for London's GMTV.
